Details Updated and new weather data on EnergyPlus web site

EnergyPlus users,

Updated and new weather data has been posted today on the EnergyPlus web site: http://energyplus.gov/cfm/weather_data.cfm

What's new or different?
1) Design conditions in all the EPWs and DDYs have been updated with data from 2009 ASHRAE Fundamentals.

2) New data for Poland: IMGW Weather data set for Poland, developed for use in energy calculations for buildings and dwellings including building certificates, and building energy research. This set of 61 weather files was developed by the Polish Ministerstwo Infrastruktury based on data from the Instytutu Meteorologii i Gospodarki Wodnej (IMGW).

3) Updated data for China: CSWD Chinese Standard Weather Data, updated in late 2008.

4) File names updated slightly -- and now include the WMO (World Meteorological Organization) number after the location name, i.e., Washington Dulles AP is now: USA_VA_Sterling-Washington.Dulles.Intl.AP.724030_TMY3 (The WMO number, 724030, has been added.) This will help differentiate these files from earlier ones.
With the upcoming release of EnergyPlus (V 4.0, mid October), the Weather Converter has also been updated to be able to calculate solar radiation from available data (cloud cover, global radiation, etc.).
